"Someone explain to me why people reverse in to parking spots!"
Some people are just ass-backwards.
Re: twitter/x
They went to BlueSky where they can enjoy their own SafeSpace. The problem is social media is just as crazy as bbsing where people like to be litteral twits to each other.

The true cesspool is Instagram's "Threads" app, overflowing with low quality copy-pasted rage-bait/engagement-farming nonsense. Almost like its algorithm celebrates mediocrity! "Someone explain to me why people reverse in to parking spots!" is not front page material, not the first time, not
I used Twitter from the beginning, and I lament the cesspool it has
become. I still have an account there, but very seldom post anything
now.
I once visited a gov't facility where they manufacture 'something'.
Anyone who drives a car there is required to back into their
parking space... I guess to allow quick getaways.

you don't like it because it's not a liberal echo chamber now.
Linkdin is another one that I quit visiting for the same reason.

Oh, but LinkedIn is great for the lunatic posts -- company founders with
the people and experiences that made them who they are today over pages
and pages of self-congratulatory dreck.
that aren't really alternatives, but just places where offended
people can enjoy their echo chambers all by themselves.
Why not have an equal debate? Why not allow both opinions and
worldviews? I thought that's what makes democracies so wonderful and
leads to the better arguments winning?

Linkedin is absolute trash, unless your idea of a good service is a digital square in which people gather to form a circle and suck each other's cocks.
Seriously, I don't have an account, but what I have seen when other people has
showed me what is going on in their accounts is lots of people posting some poorly made guide with supposed professional applications, and then lots of people praising their obviously poor post.

without slipping on the Ice Spot they created.
I Do Agree with You, pulling out of a parking slot is Safer than
trying to back out. Ed

it's to reduce the chance of car accidents. My workplace required that too. One must reverse park, supposeldy for safety reasons in case of an emergency.

a coworker and i actually hit eachother on super sunny day when backing out. we both wanted to get the fuck out of work and i couldn't see through my backup camera or my mirrors or my back window very well. i was overloaded with sun. luckily i backed up slowly and there was no damage.I ran into my bosses car once when backing out of a parking space at work at the end of the day.
at work at the end of the day.
I was between 2 4WDs, and having a small car at the time, I wasn't
able to see her driving along until it was too late.
Luckily she was insured and was good about it.
What's with the idiot in parking lots that throws garbage at people that leave their shopping carts in the lot.
One of these days, I hope to finally see someone punch them in the face.
Cart Narcs? That guy is funny and tosses (a) shame-magnets on their
car, not garbage. But it is funny to see how mad that makes some
people. He might be killed one day.

IMHO, most social media sites are much worse when it comes to "crazy" and "twits" than BBSes are.
Pointless engagement bait.threads is just pure unnecessary garbage. i think you can deactivate maybe not now but i did months ago.
