Have to check it out, thanks.
It was a good read for me. Never got tedious or made me want to jump ahead.
I'll see if I can get it for my Nook; we're running short of book shelf space.
I have three Asus EEE PCs that I have picked up over the years. Mostly
I use them as jukeboxes - playing music while I work on something.
We had a couple of them at one point; Dale suggested them when we
thought Steve was going to be deployed. It was something easy to use
and with both of us having one, if I developed a problem, he could
trouble shoot. Turned out, he never deployed so we eventually moved on.
In 2020, we donated them (and others) to the school system so students
who were trying to learn remotely on phones could have something
better.
Schools are finding that they need ban phones in the classrooms if
they want their pupils to learn.
True, but 5 years ago when everything was shut down tight and parents wanted to have their children continue their learning, teaching thru
Zoom was really big. Some kids had no computers at home but a parent
might have a smart phone that the kid could use. Teachers quickly found out that phone screens were not as good as PC screens so around here, a lot of appeals were put out for used but still useable computers. We contributed the EEPCs (eeps's) and some others we had, after Steve
cleaned them up, put on some basic work programs, etc. Helped us (a bit more room, soon to be replaced by radio equipment) and helped several
kids learn better.
